Mason Greenwood’s bail expiry date revealed after Man United forward’s arrest

 Mason Greenwood imageManchester United forward Mason Greenwood’s bail will expire on 30 April after his arrest on suspicion of rape, sexual assault and threats to kill.

The 20-year-old was taken into police custody in late January on suspicion of the rape and assault of a woman before officers were granted additional time to question him

He was subsequently further arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and threats to kill, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed.

Three days after his initial arrest, Greenwood was released on bail and he remains the subject of an ongoing police investigation.

A GMP statement read: “A 20-year-old man arrested (on Sunday 30 January 2022) on suspicion of the rape and assault of a woman has been released on bail pending further investigation.
