Report: Busquets Aiming to Reunite With Messi at Inter Miami
As the likes of Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets are now playing in the backend of their careers, they could go on to once again play together at the club level.
As noted by Xavi Campos on the Spanish-based show Onze, the veteran Spanish midfielder is aiming to reunite with his former Barcelona teammate at the Major League Soccer side Inter Miami in 2023.
Busquets still would like to feature at Barca for at least one more season, but after that, he would like to retire by not only playing alongside Messi at Inter Miami but also former club teammate Luis Suarez.
Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham has opened up before on the possibility of signing Messi, who currently has more season remaining on his current contract deal with PSG. However, the Argentine does have an option for another year with the Ligue 1 side.
Overall, Messi has so far chipped in for 10 goal contributions in league play so far this season
